Work Submissions

Submit your poetry, stories, and essays to the JMS Editorial Board. JMS students, students from other schools, and individual writers are all welcome.

Submission Guidelines

The JMS Literary Review is open to JMS students, students from other schools, and independent writers. Please read these guidelines carefully before submitting:

Who Can Submit: JMS students, students from other secondary schools, and individual/independent writers of any age.

Poetry

  • Maximum of 3 poems per person per term.
  • Lines: No limit, but must fit within a single page of format.
  • Any theme; positive, inspiring, or educational themes are highly encouraged.

Fiction

  • Word count: 300 to 1,500 words.
  • Short stories, fables, and narrative adventures.
  • Must be entirely original work. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.

Non-Fiction

  • Word count: 300 to 1,200 words.
  • Personal essays, reflections, arguments, and reports.

Note: All submissions are reviewed by the JMS Editorial Board. Approved works will be published online with author credit.
